Learn to Read
Learning to read and write is so much fun at Discovery Tree Preschool. Our Pre-K reading program will not only have your child reading by the end of the year but they will also be able to comprehend what it is they are reading. A very valuable skill they will need for Kindergarten. Our reading program is super interactive for the children and they love to get to know the hillarious characters in our reading program books. Follow along at home with the reading app that goes along with our reading program.
We offer an extended reading for our Pre-K. In this extra time we focus only on reading and learning to explore stories. The students in this class will be the Authors and Illustrators of their own first book!!
And through ALL of our classes we use Music and Rythm to practice our Letters, Sounds and Numbers.
Inspiring Creativity
Our classrooms are designed to inspire creativity in the children as they LEARN to LOVE LEARNING through an interactive, hands on, musical atmosphere.
Programs
We offer 2 day and 3 day programs for 2.5 - 5 year olds.
We also offer Kids Night Outs, at our preschool in bluffdale for an evening of fun for the kids and a relaxing evening for the parents. During the summer we have summer camps and a few sessions of summer school.

Our interactive "music based academic approach" sets the Discovery Tree Preschool apart as an outstanding & unique curriculum. Music ignites all areas of child development: intellectual, social, and emotional, motor, language and overall literacy. Exposing children to music during early development assists them to learn the sounds and meanings of words. Your child will sing along to "cool tunes" as they learn the alphabet, numbers, colors and shapes. Learning with rhythm and music reinforces letter recognition, letter sounds & develops a rich vocabulary. These concepts will be introduced through song, movement & rhythm. Very quickly you will hear your child singing about the alphabet, shapes, sounds, colors and numbers. The whole child is involved in this learning process. This creative process will be reinforced with arts & crafts, worksheets, language, science, reading skills & free play.

Our Policies and things you should know
Tuition Payments
Tuition is Due on the 1st of each month and is late after the 5th at which point a late fee of $25 will be added to that months tuition. Full tuition is due each month, we do not prorate for sick days.
Food Allergies
We will do several cooking activities throughout the year. If your child has any allergies please let us know. Please feed your children before, Do NOT send your child with food in hand to class.
Illness
Please keep your sick children home to help us keep our school a clean safe place to learn.
Dropoff/pickup
Safety is our number one priority. Please loop around the parking lot facing west in the loading zone. We have a 10 minute window before and after each class start/end time when one of our staff members will come to your car. If you are outside the designated loading times, you deserve to walk your child in for their safety and make sure they get in the correct class room.
Bathroom Accidents
We know accidents happen so Please always have a change of clothes in their bag in case they have a potty accident. If your child has a #2 accident we will call you to come and change them.
Birthdays
If your child is having a birthday you can send in a prepackaged treat to share. It must be store bought and contain NO PEANUTS.
Withdrawl
If you need to withdraw from the preschool for any reason we require a 30 day notice and cancellation policy.
